Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Maintenance to lead our maintenance team and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities across our plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP) in all maintenance activities.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise a multidisciplinary maintenance team and set daily work schedules and performance goals.
- Spare Parts & Inventory Control: Oversee inventory, ensure availability of critical spares, manage vendors, and track maintenance costs.
- Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare and manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Project Management & Equipment Upgrades: Lead equipment installation, upgrades, engineering projects, and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain equipment history, downtime logs, maintenance reports, and compliance documentation.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure all activities follow safety procedures and promote a zero-accident culture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role in a food processing or FMCG plant.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems used in food processing.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and workplace safety.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capability to work under pressure.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
