Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Maintenance to lead our maintenance team and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities across our Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute a preventive and predictive maintenance strategy to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life, supporting consistent production output.
2. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP) in all maintenance activities. Ensure equipment cleaning, sanitation, and repairs do not compromise product safety.
3. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead, train, and supervise a multidisciplinary maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, utility technicians). Define daily work schedules and performance goals to maintain operational readiness.
4. Spare Parts & Inventory Control
Oversee maintenance inventory, ensure availability of critical spare parts, and manage vendor relationships. Implement systems to track usage and control maintenance costs.
5. Budgeting & Cost Management
Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, optimize resource allocation, and identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising operational safety or quality.
6. Project Management & Equipment Upgrades
Lead engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and energy efficiency initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
7. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of equipment history, downtime reports, maintenance logs, and compliance audits. Provide regular updates to senior management on key KPIs and plant conditions.
8. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely. Promote a culture of zero accidents through regular safety training and compliance with statutory and company HSE policies.
Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within a food processing or FMCG plant.
Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems used in food processing.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and workplace safety.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle pressure.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
